Lost my main site after adding the second installation in subfolder

    I updated my main site to WordPress 4.3.1. It worked fine. Then I created a subfolder “m” in “public_html” and installed the second test site WordPress 4.3.1 in that subfolder to test new themes. This new one works fine. But when I checked the main site it returns a blank page with empty body. When I try to login into main site admin dashboard it wouldn’t let me in, but redirects me to the new site login page, where I can log in. So I wonder how I can restore my main site now. Thank you.

    I checked my main wp-config.php and found that a value of $table_prefix was changed to that of the secondary test site. When I changed it to the correct value I got my site back. Whew!
