I have problems updating pages In WordPress Ver 3.9. Sometimes the update button “grays out” and I can’t save the page. I have to go out and then retrieve the page via (restore). My main problem is that last night I have lost my complete menu system on website. I did not attempt to update the menu. All that I did was add a post. I had numerous database access errors in the process and had to repair my database a couple of times.

I can send log file errors on request

  • Are you still seeing your menus in APPEARANCE->MENUS?

No, I am not seeing my menu items in appearance -> menus. When I try to add menu items (from pages or categories), the system will not allow me to. It will put a message “pending” in where the menu item is supposed to go. I am at a loss to figure out how to fix this.

    Thanks.

Can you switch briefly to another default theme, say 2014, and see if menus re-appear, and also see if you can add a menu?

    Hi:

Thanks much for your help. Ironically I got my menu back. I clicked on appearance, then menu and then location. I had 2 menus and I selected menu1 as primary navigation. The menu came back when I did a save and I did not have to change the theme. I really don’t know how this happened? I haven’t updated the menus for at least a week. Do you know how it could have occurred?
