Lost Password & Defunct Email

I cannot remember my password and when I try to change it, all I get is a notice saying that a link was sent to my email–an email that I no longer have access to. Is there another way to reset the password?

I was able to log onto the support forum site and change the password there, but it apparently does not affect the primary account.

Is there NOT technical support for WordPress? The help site is absurdly obtuse and indirect.
