‘Lost password’-function broken?

  • When I click on the link in the ‘create new password’ mail, it is rejected.

    ‘Your link seems to be invalid’

    Is anyone else seeing this? I haven’t tried disabling plugins yet.

    Wordpress 4.9.8 and a zillion plugins – I use smtp and Sendgrid for emails.

  • Is it old? The reset password link has an expiration.
    Do you have any special characters in the email or username? (just a thought)

    If you can’t get in, go to your host control panel and use phpMyAdmin to edit the user table. You can set the password there, but you have to make sure to use the format of md5 on the field.

    No, I click it when I receive the email. No special characters.

    I am not locked out of my site, but I recently disabled social Login, so my users have to generate a new password.
