Lost Password? message missing

This looks a very neat and, well, clean login plugin.

I have just set it up and it seems to be working great except for one thing. When I log out, the Lost Password? message appears on the login modal, as it should.

But if I just go to the login page without having just logged out, the Lost Password? message is missing.

Any ideas as to what the problem might be?
