Lost password validation can be improved
-
Thanks for WordPress.
There is issue with the lost password results screen which needs to be addressed. If you just enter a valid username or e-mail, the message is returned:
“Sorry, that user does not seem to exist in our database.”
In both cases, this wrong– the user does exist.
One of the following should happen:
– The user should be returned to the lost password form, with a message that both fields are required.
– providing either a username /or/ an e-mail should be good enough.
(I looked first for a bug tracking system but didn’t find one. ).
