    hello

i’ve done something stupid and can’t work out how to fix it

i have hidden the ‘Settings’ menu item from myself, so i’m unable to edit the settings in Admin Menu Editor and make it visible again!

i need to find the relevant mysql setting for my user and disable its hidden status – can you help?

    thanks

On a regular site, the menu settings are stored in the wp_options table, in an option named ws_menu_editor. However, actually editing the option may be difficult unless you’re already familiar with PHP serialized data.

You can reset the menu configuration by deleting this option, but that will reset everything, not just the “Settings” menu.

    thanks, janis

that was very useful info and very speedy too

i didn’t fancy my chances messing with any php serialized data!

all done and i won’t do that again! problem solved
