• Dear Support,
I use one of the widgets on my sidebar for a brief weekly commentary. I usually save it on Word, but tried something different this time (with disastrous consequences, apparently): I created a Category which I hoped would stored the entries once I copy and paste them there.
Today I wrote another entry and placed it on the sidebar, without saving on Word. When I checked under its Category (I call it Curb Your God), it no longer was there. That’s very very serious for me. Please help. I’m new to wordpress and not very handy dealing with codes and the like, but I’m hoping there’s a simple solution for my problem. Thanks and regards

  • I’m afraid there is no official “Support”. This is a free forum staffed purely by volunteers and other WordPress users.

If you want to build up an archive of commentaries, use Posts and Categories. The previous text within a Text widget is not archived anywhere.

Thanks esmi. Yes, I understand that about the forum. But I wonder whether there’s a database that keeps all posts somewhere? I saw that some forum participants mention something to that effect, even Google came up but they were all on a different context from my request. I’d appreciate very much if you or anyone would help me on how to proceed. Regards
    Wesley

Old content from text widgets isn’t stored in your database. It’s not stored anywhere.
