Lots of Beginner Questions

I am using WP 2.1.2, just downloaded and installed this morning. I am trying to figure out how WP works as a whole, and I have some questions.

1)How do I change the Meta Menu, and its items?
– dont want it called Meta
– dont want all those links in there
2) Remove the blogroll menu completely?
3) Change the positions of items on the sidebar? (EX: Move meta menu up to the top?)
4) I installed a plug-in that had a widget, and I installed a widget ready theme. It said to go to Presentations->Side-bar Widgets. I dont have that option on the presentation menu.
5) Is there a beginners doc/wiki/something to get a newbie some help?
6) I am used to Drupal, and Joomla, and their concept of blocks, which I assume is similar to the WP sidebar?
