Lots of extreme porn spam getting through

    I have been using WPBruiser for a couple of years, and it’s worked well until the past 3 weeks or so. Now I am getting inundated with extremely obvious porn spam via the comments field.

    Each fake comment contains 30 to 40 links to porn sites, and lots of very obvious sex-related text. Both should be picked up by even the most basic spam filter, so what might be going on?

    It seems WPBruiser is not being supported at the moment, as no replies to questions for the past 3 weeks.

    Just FYI while I go looking for an alternative plugin :((, even after the update I am in spam overwhelm. The comments are half a page long, chock-full of lengthy porn links and text, and arrive daily by the dozen from junk bot addresses.
