    Hi,
I was using this plugin with a paid version and I have been having problems with too much resource usage on my server, so I disabled it for some testing. Now I’m getting a ton of requests for links with domain.com/feed-items/* that are now triggering 404 errors.

Does this plugin generate items with “feed-items” in the URL? I’m assuming that there are now many links out there to the posts that are now missing from deactivating the plugin? Is this what is happening?

    Thanks,
    Evelyn

    Hi Evelyn,

Our plugin does not generate any items or pages on your site with that URL, so nothing should be hitting those URLs. If you have access to your server access log, you might be able to see who’s sending requests to those URLs.

There’s also the possibility that the requester is a search engine. Are you using a sitemap generator plugin of any kind? If so, you can try re-generating your sitemap to see if it stops the requests.

    Hi,
    Thank you!
    I regenerated my sitemap.
    I hope that helps!
