Love it, But Can’t Send to Custom Roles

Found this plugin while looking for a way to send emails out by role. Love it and the template system. Works exactly as expected when sending to the roles that are built into WordPress (Admin, subscriber, etc.) When I try to send it with custom roles we created using Roles and Capabilities, emails are not sent. Is there a way to add support for custom roles … the custom roles display but emails do not go out? All of the custom roles we created are based on the WooCommerce Customer role if that makes a difference.

Have tested with PHP 7 and PHP 7.1. Going back farther is not an option because of other plugin dependencies.
