Love it but slowed my site down

While I love this plugin, I had to turn it off as it as it was slowing my site down to a crawl. When I turn it back on, my site gets very slow. Turn it off, site speeds up. Might be a plugin conflict but I’m not a programmer. But it’s a very noticeable slowdown. Was using latest version.
