Seems to work quite well for us. We set it for 1800×1200 max, at 80% quality. An example test showed that without this plugin, the original was 4.7MB (4272×2848). After installing the plugin, the original-size image uploaded at 211KB (1800×120). A savings of 95% ! And 211KB is plenty for website images of that size. Since many of our clients don’t seem to manually re-size images before they upload into posts, this plugin will be GREAT. (One other note: No change to the medium / large images that actually get used in the posts, which is good. I only noticed a change to the “original”, which is what is used for the lightbox pop-up.)
