Love the features but massively slows down site

  • I was blown away by all the features offered by this plugin. I was looking for something that would allow me to set a discount based on user role. I loved that it added the extra discount section to the cart and checkout pages, and I could even customize the text!

    The only problem is it massively slowed down my site. Loading the checkout page went from a few seconds to over 20 seconds. Even adding a coupon became slow. After deactivating the plugin the page load sped up again. I wound up installing a different plugin that doesn’t offer as many features but it also doesn’t slow down my site.

    I would switch back to this in a heartbeat if the developers could fix the performance issue!

    please visit >WooCommerce>Pricing Rules>Settings>Calculation and turn on “Disable shipping calculation”.

    Thanks for the quick response. I tried disabling the shipping calculation and it did speed things up, but still not as fast as deactivating the plugin altogether. Disabling the shipping calculation decreased the load time of the checkout page from ~20 seconds to ~15 seconds, but without the plugin the load time is ~8 seconds. 8 seconds is already too slow to begin with so adding even more time is a no-go for me, unfortunately.

    We added some options , but they’re still in beta state ( turned off by default).

    So if you still have problem with speed – turn on “Don’t recalculate cart on page load” and “Disable shipping calculations” in >Settings>Calculation .

    After turning on “Don’t recalculate cart on page load” to speed up the website, I encountered an incorrect price calculation in the cart page for bulk discount. I was forced to turn it off again.
