    Hiya @oclair,

    Although you may feel so, the mentioned change was expected, and this plugin was put out pre-emptively for users stuck with plugins, and themes, that were outdated and not following best practices.

    It’s quite rude to the hundreds and thousands of contributors who give of their free time to make WordPress to make such remarks. Instead, I would welcome you to take part in the process of building WordPress, maybe together we can make it easier on the users by ensuring we don’t need to make a drastic adjustment like this in the future ??
