• Editing my review to update: I’ve been using Wordfence for several years now. They are my #1 go-to tool to keep my 3 websites safe. Every time I log on, I check my Wordfence plug in. One thing I recommend for users is to go to the “Page Not Found” link on the Live Feed tool. That will quickly show you who is up to no good trying to access your site. I can see who has been trying to log on, who is trying to get to my php files and who is trying to upload garbage. It’s quick and worth every penny for the Premium. I’ll also add that the support for this program has been stellar. I’ve always heard back from the support team within hours. They are knowledgeable and patient. I would give 10 stars if I could. Thanks Wordfence! You ROCK!

I’m one of those WP users who knows enough to mess around with html but not enough to get myself out of trouble if I go places I don’t belong in the back end of the sites I manage. Wordfence is a godsend. They keep an eye on things I don’t understand. I like the way I get notices when my site is down and back up. I’m with HostMetro and it appears the site goes down for 10 minutes or sometimes longer almost weekly. I like that I get a notice when that happens so I can monitor it.

Wordfence also sends me notices if someone has sent out a pingback on Twitter with bad juju attached. It just found one that someone sent out making it look like it came from my blog, but they had attached a different URL to the tweet. It’s great that I can perform a scan anytime I want to make sure my site is safe.

I like having this extra “fence” around my sites. I just don’t have the time to keep an eye on all 4 sites and watch every nuance and hiccup. Thanks Wordfence developers!
