Lovely plugin!! Is there anyway to exclude promotions from tags?

Love this plugin, but im missing one feature, i have a tag that i don’t wish to promote, i also don’t wish to make it into a category, is there any simple hack to exclude that tag from being promoted? Thank you for making this wonderful plugin free!
