Hi, my photos looks fine on desktop, but on mobile they’re super low res. All photos were uploaded between 1000 and 1800px width.

    Hi,
I’m not seeing low resolution photos on mobile: https://i.imgur.com/30DE65u.jpeg

Maybe you are on a slower network which is why you are seeing that.

The photos on my homepage and contact page are very clear, even when zooming in on my phone.

the photos on every post and the about me page, are not. They’re noticeably lower quality and very low when zoomed in.

    Low zoom

    low on mobile

    high zoom

    high mobile

ive tried on multiple networks and devices and it’s all the same

Hi, if you zoom into a page images will look blurry cause the system is loading the image as per the image size mentioned in the img tag. You are supposed to provide the image in a size in which it is shown on the screen to have a better CWV and not in a zoom-in view.

But even not zoomed in, the pictures in the posts and the About Me page are not anywhere near as sharp as on the Home and Contact Me pages, despite being uploaded at the same size. Why? In the image link you sent, that picture looks low quality to me and is not as clear as on desktop.

    Hi,
As I can see you are using both Jetpack Image CDN + Optimole. You should use one or the other but best not to use both.

To improve your website performance, Optimole will resize your images as per the image size mentioned in your img tag. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/wbLBvoJ.jpeg

Thanks, I thought I had disabled Jetpack already.

I understand that the photos are resized, but why does the quality/resolution suffer so much?

The photo on the left is in the editor and on the right is on the live site. How can I get a higher resolution photo?

Hmm.. Can you try after disabling jetpack and clearing all cache?

I disabled Jetpack and cleared the cache for both the site and in optimole. Photos look the same, no improvement.

I am still seeing jetpack in your image URLs: https://i.imgur.com/rYqLKZC.jpeg as you can see i0.wp.com in the image URL. Also inside optimole settings you can try disabling the smart image resize option.
