Hi, I notice all the images in all the stories are low resolution and pixelated but this is not the issue on the website’s images (https://www.jweekly.com/2019/07/12/emotional-testimony-from-holocaust-survivor-at-s-f-ice-protest/).
Is there something I can do to fix this issue. The main featured image at the top of every article looks good, the issue are only the images in the story content.
I have “used remote images” set to yes, “use full bleed images” set to yes and “use cover art” set to yes, not sure if any of this makes a difference.

    Thank you

Hello, thanks for using the plugin! Sorry that you’re having some image issues.

Have you tried testing with “use full-bleed images” set to no?

Is there, by any chance, a difference between the images uploaded to your post (admin) and the images being served at the jweekly.com site? Is a CDN in use or something that may intercept the image and determine the quality dynamically? I am wondering if the image is being resized and what’s being sent to Apple News is using a smaller size than what appears online.

@jomurgel Yes, you are correct. So we are using Photon which converts images and caches them automatically and serves from the WordPress.com CDN. (I believe Photon is now part JetPack).
So I turned off Photon and the images on Apple news are now displaying in great quality.
So I know that Photon is the issue, I have to keep it on because when I turn it off, the images on my website don’t render correctly .
