Low visitors yet high traffic and hits – host to suspend my hosting

Hello,

TL;DR: My visitor number is really low, yet I am getting complains from my hosting provider that my site uses a lot of bandwidth and traffic.

I have a small website, https://www.interview-with-your-consciousness.com , and it barely gets visitors. However, lately i did get a small number of visitors, compared to the past and I received a message from my host (hostpapa) that I am using too many resources and my account will be suspended if it continues this way.
I contacted them and I was told that I was getting too much traffic and hits, per visitor. This lead to slowing down their server and creating some errors / crashes.
I did check the bandwidth used on my website and it seems that 8GB were used in 2 weeks time.

In Essence, is there a problem with my website?
I do run Super Cache on it and I have optimized images.
Why would I get such a big traffic for so few visitors?

Do you guys have any suggestion, or maybe point me in the right direction on what to do here to lower the traffic?
