<!–more–> not working

  • I installed a 2.8 blog today but <!–more–> does not work (just shows as text in the post and there is not a more button to the complete post page) nor is there a more button in the post editor. Is this feature not offered in 2.8? What can I do instead? Thank you.

  • wait for upgrade to 2.8.1 or install a plugin for that. Evermore is pretty good,

    This feature is in 2.8. Your installation must be incomplete or corrupted somehow.

    You should re-upload the folders /wp-includes and /wp-admin
    and/or try a different FTP program to re-upload the folders.

    I installed the 2.8 blog using Fantastico … can you be specific as to which files might be missing/corrupted and I can replace them. Thanks, Karen
