I use the <br clear=all> tag often to float 2 images side by side and move text below them instead of in between. After upgrading to 2.8, this tag doesn’t seem to work all the time–it works within posts, but not on my homepage when followed by the “more” tag.

Is there another piece of code I can use to do this, or something extra I need to do to get this to work again?

Site is https://www.first-bite.com if example is needed.

  • You’re using an old piece of HTML markup. Try <br style="clear:both;" />.

    Thanks, perfect!

I keep trying this using the html tab and when I save the draft it changes the line to

The same thing happened when I tried <BR Clear=left> and I thought it recognized incorrect syntax or something.

Any ideas why this would happen. I simply want to clear the alignment to move text below images.
