I was logged in to my admin panel and just was trying to display a particular post at the top of all other posts in front on the homepage.

I did not how to do it, but changed the siteurl in settings->general->
changed the site url to the url of the post i wanted to be on the front of homepage. And now i try to login it is displaying page not found.

Now my site is just displaying normally without the theme enabled and i cannot login now.

Can any one help revert back this site url to the my main root directory instead of a particular post, this will also help me login normally without any problem.

Example: my site url was https://example.com but in the settings->general of the dashboard i changed the site url and home page url to a specific post url like this -> https://example.com/post-sample-url.

My admin login was https://example.com/wp-login but now i try using this url it is redirecting me to https://example.com/post-sample-url/wp-login which is displaying “no page found message” restricting me to login.

Please help reverting everything back to normal.

Thank you esmi, this is not possible in the wordpress 3.2.1 so i tried editing it through database and it worked.

Logged in to my database and edited the site url.

    Thank you again.

One more question how to hide some of the unwanted static pages like privacy page from the wordpress automatically showing it.

It is by default showing it at the top of the page but i do not want to display the privacy page at the top with other important pages.

I have decided to put the privacy link at the bottom but cannot figure out how to hide the page at the top.

Yes it is. It’s possible through every version from 1.5 on up ?? I’ve done it.

Customize your menu. If your theme supports it, go to Apperances -> Menu and make a menu.
