made by problem in frontpage

  • Hello this is my first attempt for a website for my own.
    and so far so good (for me)

    but when your go to the hompage the first thing you see is:
    Home
    made by: FabianW87

    and i want to remove that.
    but when i go the pages an edit the home page i don’t see the text
    and when i go to edit frontpage.
    i see the text but i cannot edit or delelte it.
    what dit i do wrong.

    and why can you edit the frontpage ( home page?) and edit by pages?
    i’m al little confuged about the dubbel names.

    i hope somebody can help me out.

    Welcome to the WordPress community, happy to know that you’re enjoying the process of doing your first website ??

    Answering your question about Pages, I’d suggest you to read this documentation about pages in WP: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Pages

    About how to delete the phrase “made by: FabianW87” of your homepage, that depends the theme that you’ve activated in your site.

    For some themes, to show the author of the post/page is an option that you can check/uncheck and in other themes is not an option and you’d have to edit the php code to remove it.

    I’d recommend you to go to your Dashboard > Appareance > Customize, and to see if there is an option to show or hide the page or posts authors.
