    Hi
I had the whole cls thinn nailed down with earlier settings, but my cdn deal expired, so I thought I would have a go with Cloudflare.

I=my problem may be related to this or not, as I had made some changes to the settings as there was an issue with some js neding jquery so we changed to fdefer only (not aggregate).

Anyway, the end result is that the text flashes on load and I cannot seem to get this to change. I am only using system fonts (or I hope I am) with the exception of fontawesome for some icons.

    I am using:
    EWWW for webP
    WP Cloudflare Super Page Cache
    Asset Clean Up
Rapidload (the guys are working on this as it was not working properly)
CriticalCSS (I have tried with the is_home and is_front set to manual to make sure that it is current)

In addition to the text moving on the homepage I am even losing it on the menu etc…

I would be grateful for your thoughts on what I had messed up!

    Thanks

Well, best way forwards is to find out at what point the issue goes away:
    1. disabling “inline & defer CSS” (which disables critical CSS as well)?
    2. disabling rapidload?
    3. disabling CSS optimization?
    4. disabling JS optimization?
    5. disabling Autoptimize entirely?

It turns out that a thorough cache clearout solves this issue.

My font issue is one I have reported in the past, but we never seemed to get anywhere on.

When loading the homepage with AO turned on, the fontawsome font is called from the cdn (good) but then the AO css calls it again, this time from the domain, so I am effectively loading the same font twice.

With the ‘aggregate css files’ turned off (or using ?ao_noptimize=1) the the font is only called once from the cdn. However I get loads of cls appear on the page.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks
