Made the site, now hosting is an issue

  • OK, I made the site locally using XAMPP and I want to upload it. I neeeded a free domain name. So I decided to use the .wordpress.com as my free domain name. Few questions regarding it:

    1. Do I have to use some “official” method to upload my site with the domain .wordpress.com or can I use 3rd party hosting solutions?

    2. If its the former, how do I transfer my offline site to .wordpress.com ?

    Uh! You can’t do that! You can’t just use someone else’s domain name for your site!

    I’ve made a domain name for myself! so the domain name is legit…

    You mean you created a account at wordpress.com with subdomain name that is normal but you can not upload your website on the wordpress.com server you need to use what they provide.
    You are restricted to what can do on the account.
    where as
    If you get online host account and domain name then you can upload your wordpress on server
