• I am using time.ly’s all-in-one Event calendar on a child theme of Magazine Basic. Here is the URL: https://www.cagv.org/

Here is my problem: I have the calendar widget in the right sidebar. When you hover over any of the calendar event listings in the widget, a preview of the event appears in a pop-up box. At the bottom of that pop-up box is a “Read More” button that when clicked, takes you to a page unrelated to the event listing.

    What I did:

    • Contacted time.ly on their support forums. They got back to me quickly. Their response: “Ai1ec does not produce the “Read More” button. It’s part of the standard WP theme. There is no read more or link in the widget event excerpt end only […], so it seems that this is a conflict with the theme.” They recommended the standard troubleshooting steps which include:
    • Turning off all plugins except the all-in-one Event Calendar plugin. With only that plugin running, the Read More button was still there.
    • Switch themes. I first switched to the main Magazine Basic theme. The button remained. I then switched to twentyfourteen and the button was gone. This means time.ly was right. The Magazine Basic theme is the problem.

So now I need a solution. What code in the template files or in functions.php do I need to comment out, delete or edit to fix this?
