Magic Fields check when viewing a post of a write panel

I’m using Magic fields to create write panels.
What I need to do is check if viewing a post on a single page of a write panel.

if (is_singular(‘book’))
where book is the name of my write panel

I can’t get this to work, Thanks for any help.
