Magic Post Thumbnail does not work

    I wrote a message to the service so you could help me and I didnt get any answer.

    The plugin doesnt work, I put a normal configuration and it used to work before.

    Later I updated my subscription to the proversion and the lifetime one and it doesnt work.

    Now it doesnt load any image. All times it says “Failed” and it is not only the bulk mode but also the function inside the post itself that should generate the image.

    I would like to get this problem solved or I want the refund because i bought something that doesnt work.

    So, I’m sorry to hear that you have a problem.

    • Do you use the last version (4.0.6) ?
    • Can you tell me which web hosting you are using for your website? Is it banahosting for example?
    • I’m not sure about the problem but if you could download and send me the logs, I think it might help me.
    • Can you also list your website plugins, and if it’s possible your settings? Settings [Images] and Settings [Source] would be great.

    On the other hand, I have +30 plugins, it is not possible to list them and also write the settings.

    In MPT Settings – Images:

    Featured or Post Image: Featured Image
    Based on: Title
    Title: Full title
    Selected image: First result
    Image filename: Title
    Nothing else selected.

    In MPT Settings – Source:
    Image Bank: Google Scraping
    Language: SPanish
    Everything else by default

    Ok I understand.

    Banahosting is a very special hosting. It is the only one (that I know) who blocks requests to Google (and Google Image of course).
    So, unfortunately, the plugin can not work with this library on Banahosting. I don’t think there is a way to avoid this problem.

    So you have two choices :

    • Either you use your pro version on another hosting
    • Either you ask for a refund. I’ll proceed it since you didn’t know about banahosting. If you want a refund, please send me an email with the mail account which is associated with your buy.

    I am wondering aloud why a host would block Big G? Very odd!

    Yeah, I don’t know why but I know this has been the case for years since I saw this problem years ago.
    I’m not personally using this hosting, But I should subscribe for 1 month just to investigate if this problem touch only te plugin or not, but I don’t think so. Maybe it’s just a prohibition with functions like file_get_contents and curl, just a guess.
