do you click on magnifying glass icon and no image is being shown in opened popup? If so, probably you have PHP 5.3 installed on your server. There is a bug in the theme with lightbox on PHP 5.3.
The next version which is 1.0.9 (it is not live yet, maybe after a day or two it will be live), should fix that bug. Download it here:

I managed to get it working with the new update, thanks. However, it seems to overlap one version of the picture on top of another. Any idea why this might be?

Could you please provide with a link to webpage? It is difficult to picture what is wrong without seeing it ??
