I have several mail strings that have been incorrectly changed after import.
These concern only the mail addresses that belong to the domain I am exporting and importing on.
A mail address [email protected] gets changed to [email protected].
I see this for example in comments and in user registrations but in other tables too.

Yes, this is something that we are aware of.
The team is trying to fix it but it is not easy to automate the replacement.
Two options until a solution is ready:
    1. Use advanced options and check do not replace emails
    or
    2. After import, use the find/replace to manually replace the wrong email addresses.
    or
    3. Do not use www in your site url/home url

These are not ideal fixes – just a workaround.

OK. Thanks for the information. Any idea when this fix will be done? Is it already planned?

It is in the researching phase – it is not a trivial fix :/
It is been lingering for months – not entirely sure when we can deliver this.

OK. In my view a lot of users in The Netherlands should have problems with this as it is very normal to have mail addresses within your domain without www in the mail address.

It is not that popular of an issue yet but I do want us to fix it, yes.
