When admin changes password, email new password to user

  • I need a way to email a user his/her login details (username and password) when Admin changes that user’s password.

    Maybe there’s away to re-activate the Email Password checkbox that is available when adding new users.

    On the WP login screen the user can click “Forgotten Password” link to have the details emailed to him/her. So just send all your users a link to the login screen to process this.

    When using the Forgotten Password mechanism, the email message “Someone has asked to reset the password…” might make some users uncomfortable.

    Also, the user will be directed to their profile page, which I’d like to avoid.

    As you might have guessed, most users on the site are not very web-savvy, and I don’t want to scare them off with any complexity.

    I was hoping for something more elegant.
