    Hi,

I was running a test on an incognito window and noticed my visitors cannot exit the pop-up I’m running through MailChimp w/o leaving their name and email address… how can I fix? Of course, I want to collect their info, but I want to give them an option to close the pop-up if they don’t want to subscribe just yet.

    Thanks!

    Howdy –

Looking at the site in Chrome and Safari I am unable to dismiss the pop up notification. There is an x option present on that pop up but it is not working.

The Jetpack connection on the site is not producing any errors either. That all looks fine.

Are these the instructions that you used to set up that pop up? https://jetpack.com/support/extra-sidebar-widgets/mailchimp-subscriber-popup-widget/

    Hi there,

Yes, those are the instructions I followed – I just double checked that both the extra sidebar widget and shortcode embeds were turned on. However, I believe I found out what my issue was… I connected my site to my Mail Chimp account, so I didn’t need the additional widget. Once I deleted the code in the widget, I’m able to close out the pop-up form.

    Thanks for your help!

Great news! Thanks for letting us know you had it sorted and for posting the resolution. It will likely help someone else in the future.

I have the same problem and just can’t work out why! It’s working in Safari, but in Chrome the window won’t close. What can I do?

Hi @reginalita, could you include a link to the site? Also have you tried the suggestions above?
