• Emails are not sent when clicking the lost password link, cformsII won’t send emails, all points me to the php.ini file… I installed XAMPP and am using mercury mail as my SMTP mail server (it’s a bit confusing and hard to set up, not sure it’s even set up right, does anyone know of any good ones?) i’ve changed the [mail function] part of my php.ini file, but still no luck.

    Any ideas?

any help would be appreciated, i am not sure i’ve configured the php.ini file or the SMTP server properly…

windows or linux server? if xampp on windows, I’ve had many problems with it, I suggest moving to free linux distro.

mail() function enabled by your host? And linux or windows?

Ryan, If you read his post, you will see he is “self hosting” on his own server.

Bradaz I’m not sure why you included information about SMTP through mercury. If its a linux box sendmail should included as part of your OS with PHP 4/5 loaded. Once you tell us your Operating System, we can help your further.
