Mail Poet still causing errors on php 7.3

    We are continuing to get errors from Mail Poet on our Word Press site even though Mail Poet says there is no problem with php 7.3 compatibility. I would like someone from Mail Poet to respond directly to this error message that Word Press is receiving:

    An error of type E_PARSE was caused in line 1 of the file /nas/content/live/crazydiamond23/wp-content/plugins/wysija-newsletters/helpers/render_engine.php(600) : eval()’d code. Error message: syntax error, unexpected end of file

    We are not looking for an explanation of this error message. We are looking to Mail Poet to give us a solution that can be passed on to our support team so that this problem can be resolved and we can get Mail Poet back online and working properly.

    Hi Tim,

    The error is from MailPoet 2. Not MailPoet 3.

    MailPoet 3 is fully compatible with PHP 7.3.

    MailPoet 2 is only compatible up to PHP 7.2. In this instance we’d recommend upgrading to MailPoet 3 and disabling MailPoet 2. MailPoet 2 will not be updated for future compatibility for newer PHP versions.
