Mail Says Failed To Send
-
The status shows that mail as failed to send an stock notifier. However, when I run the “test email” function it also says failed but I ACTUALLY get the email. Whats going on or how do I fix it. The Woo Logs dont say much but that there was an error.

Hello there,
Good Day!!
Regarding the discrepancy between the status shown and the actual delivery of the test email, it’s possible that the error lies within the mail server’s configuration.?
We use the WooCommerce Email API functionality to send emails, and from our end, we only trigger emails rather than sending them. If you encounter any issues with sending emails, then the same might apply to WooCommerce Order Emails as well.?
In some cases, your reported issue is from your mail server. For this, we suggest you use any SMTP plugin to send email or contact your hosting provider regarding the same.Thanks.
that’s just the thing, I’m getting all kinds of site emails, new orders, even when people click to subscribe to be notified of I stock items. I have a email log that even says the emails are sending. It’s just the Back in stock notifier interface that says the mail is Failed to send.
Hello there,
Please provide the following information:
- Navigate to Admin Dashboard -> WooCommerce -> Status -> Logs -> select the log file with the prefix ‘back-in-stock-notifier-for-woocommerce’with the latest date.
- Screenshot of the Status Page (Admin Dashboard -> Instock Notifier -> Status).
- In Admin Dashboard -> WooCommerce -> Status -> Scheduled Actions, please check if there are any pending or failed actions. Share this information with us for further analysis.
- Ensure that the option “Enable this option if you have updated the stock from a third-party inventory plugin” is enabled (Admin Dashboard -> Instock Notifier -> Settings -> Troubleshoot Section -> Enable this option if you have updated the stock from a third-party inventory plugin).
Let us know.
Thanks.
This is from today. I tested it out using one of my accounts and I got both the email of subscribing and the email saying it was back in stock. The Back in Stock interface says it FAIL to send but I’m actually getting all the emails.

Hello there,
Thank you for providing the additional information.
Could you please share with us a screenshot of your active plugins? You can find this by navigating to Admin Dashboard > WooCommerce > Status > Active Plugins. Once we have the plugin list, our team will examine the compatibility between the active plugins to identify any conflicts.
Additionally, we suggest temporarily deactivating any plugins related to email handling, as the return value of the email function can be altered by different plugins or in the theme. This will help us confirm and identify any conflicting plugins.
Let us know.
Thanks.
