mailbox settings for dreamhost

    our website is hosted by dreamhost, and I have tried every setting possible but keep getting the same error message
    “connection NOT ok. Can’t do secure authentication with this server”
    When i try none secure authentication, the error message is as follows:
    “{closed] IMAP connection broken (server response)”

    my settings:

    Host/Server
    sub4.mail.dreamhost.com

    Port
    993

    Protocol
    Secure setting
    Use secure authentication Yes No

    Thanks for reaching out. I can try figuring out the settings on my end. For that I obviously need an email account’s credentials.

    Working Dreamhost inbox settings in WP Mailster:
    Server: (check which host/URL dreamhost tells you)
    Port: 993
    Protocol: IMAP
    Secure setting: SSL
    Use secure authentication: No
