Mailchimp API – null

Hello,
I have been trying to get my plugin to register with my Mailchimp account. I have tried creating new API keys, disabling old and using new, and I have even tried using other plugins (Yours is the best though). Every time I input the API key I get the following message:
We received an unexpected error: null
I contacted Mailchimp and they, of course said there was nothing on their end and that I should contact the plugin dev.
