Mailchimp embed code is not working

    Hi

    I’ve followed the instructions to embed my Mailchimp sign-up form into the Genesis news widget. When someone adds their email address and hits subscribe it calls up a page that says Thank you for subscribing, along with error messages – email field is blank. I can send a screenshot if that helps.

    You can fill all the fields in, hit subscribe and it doesn’t seem to affect that email address being added to my list of subscribers.
    However, having the error message doesn’t look professional and having to get people to input their email address twice is going to annoy people. I spoke to Mailchimp and there’s nothing wrong with the form nor the embed code – they say it’s something to do with the information being passed from the Genesis news widget to WordPress.

    If you’re seeing error messages, that is suggesting the wrong field names were entered into the widget’s settings.
