Mailchimp widget Failed to subscribe, please contact admin.

  • Hi,
    mailchimp was working well, I recreate my website and put API key in theme panel and recreate the Audience (list) on mailchimp but every time I try to subscribe I receive the following error ” Failed to subscribe, please contact admin.”
    shall I used any other plugin.
    Note: I already use WP SMTP Mail

  • I have a similar issue, i recently built a site using OceanWp and configured the MailChimp Widget in the Footer, it did work for a day and stopped working all of a sudden. I have looked at setting the API and the List ID but still it fails.
    I have followed what shipyardart (@shipyardart) has recommended as well as what vishywordpress (@vishywordpress) has suggested but to no help.

    The Mailchimp Widget is located in the footer the url to my site is
    https://motupanda.com/. Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Hi, I have a different issue with MailChimp, and have spent the past hour and a half trying to locate where on www.ads-software.com I can post a new question!

    I looked for clarification on this question on https://wpbuffs.com/wordpress-support-forums/, but the instructions there don’t correspond to what I’m actually seeing on the WP support forum webpages.

    Any help (in the form of up-to-date instructions, or links to up-to-date instructions) would be appreciated!

    I was also having this problem where I set up everything correctly in MailChimp and added the widget to my WordPress site but when I tested it by entering my email address into the ‘Subscribe’ box, I would get an error message saying something has gone wrong. But your advice has fixed it! The test sign up worked.

    However…strangely now my MailChimp forms are different. In MailChimp I created a ‘Sign Up Form’ and ‘Final Welcome Email’. I wanted the sign up process to be as simple as possible but after signing up on the site, I got an email saying ‘confirm subscription’, then another one saying ‘Confirm Humanity’, then a final one saying ‘subscription confirmed’. The last one is the only one I recognise. For all of them, the appearance is the same, as well as the image I inserted, but the wording is very different. How did that get there??
    Hoping you can help!
