• I have what I believe to be a connectivity issue with my recently installed “Mailchimp for WordPress” plugin. In particular, my Mailchimp subscribers are not receiving updates to my WordPress site’s latest blog posts.

On the main plugin screen of the wp-admin the Status says “connected”, and the API key has been entered.

On Mailchimp itself, I have an RSS feed URL that’s scheduled to go out to my list of subscribers on the first day of every month.

My subscribers tell me that they’re not receiving the blog updates at all.

I visited the plugin’s documentation page, titled “Solving Connectivity Issues”, and based on the instructions that I found there, have called my hosting company to see if a.) PHP CURL is installed and updated to at least version 7.35, and b.) Requests to https://*.api.mailchimp.com/ are not blocked.

I was told that their PHP CURL is only updated to version 7.19, and that there are no blocks on Mailchimp’s api.

I can’t figure out why the blog updates, especially since the plugin indicates that it’s “connected”.

Anyone’s help on troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated.
