Mailchimp issue

Thebert, there is a free plugin called KC MC+S2m that will synchronize between Mailchimp and s2Member.

It might solve your problem is s2M wants to play picky with that many members imported at once?

Importing users in bulk with s2Member Pro’s Importer won’t also add them to MailChimp, if I remember correctly.

You need to add them to MC yourself using their interface for that. I think this article covers that: https://kb.mailchimp.com/lists/growth/import-subscribers-to-a-list
