MailChimp just doesn't work :(

  • Hi there,

    I’m currently trying in vain to get MailChimp to work on a WP site I’ve created. I’ve selected ‘Use MailChimp API’, and I’ve provided the correct API key and List ID. I am using a subscribe feature in my footer.

    Anyway, I enter my name and an email address to test the subscription, however when I log into MailChimp there is no new member. I’ve repeated this many times – I haven’t been able to actually add a user to MailChimp using this plugin.

    Is this a common problem?

    Hi Frank,

    No, this is definitely not a common problem.

    Are you sure that you are testing with an emailadress that is not already on your list? Also, check your spam folder for the confirmation e-mail, you have to confirm the emailadress or it won’t get added to your list.

    If the problem is not there, contact me with the URL of your website and i’ll have a look.

    Hi, danny, even i tried doing so, its not working at all with mailchimp. I already provided correct api key and list id referring all right tutorials, but still it is not working. Plz help. my site is https://www.reviewcenter.in

    I am having the same problem. When I sign up to the newsletter, the system redirects me (as it should) to my self-created thank you page. But it does not add the email to MailChimp, and it does not send me a confirmation message. https://www.storymentor.com/website-planning guide

    I’m also having a problem: nothing is send nowhere ??

    I’m with MailChimp, got my two IDs, but when I register on my newsletter to try it, I don’t get any subscription in my MailChimp list neither email to confirm in my email box.

    I’m using “free” as webpage hoster, maybe the php version of their server is a little oldish.

    Any idea about where come from the problem would be amazing…

    Hi Clarice and Quentin,

    I’ll look into your problem this saturday. Quentin, it would be amazing if you could keep the plugin running and provide with me with the URL of your site so I can take a look and see if I can figure out the problem.

    Another thing you could try is the ‘Config Extractor’ that comes with NSU. E-mail me the output of the config extractor and a screenshot of your current settings and I’ll provide you with the correct settings.

    The plugin is running actually, it’s on the bottom of my sidebar.

    For the extractor, I don’t have any sign-up form so, I don’t really think I need to use it.
