Mailchimp RSS

  • I’ve tried to look this issue up on the Mailchimp site with no luck. Maybe someone here has a solution.

    I have Mailchimp set on publishing posts automatically from my blog with RSS. It was going well for a while, but my latest post didn’t send this morning. I’ve looked at all my settings on both MC and WP and it all checks out. I’ve looked at the MC knowledge base with no luck. There is also no way to contact them otherwise.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • There are a few problems with your RSS feed which is probably due to a character RSS doesn’t like or an issue that Mail Chimp doesn’t care for.

    Quick fix might be to use this sanitized version of your feed for a time From Heiko Behrens’ feed sanitizer.

    Another option might be to use the Atom Feed instead of the RSS feed if Mail Chimp allows that as that might be a better long term solution.

    Thanks. I just don’t understand why it worked for a while and then just stopped.

    Probably an odd character or two in a newer post but when I ran it through the validator that validator threw a hissy fit with a bunch of errors. Too many for me to dissect which is why I just tossed it to the sanitizer.

    I love RSS and Atom but they can be flakey at times.

    Yeah. That’s why I’ve been looking into using the Jetpack subscription, but I’m trying to get an answer on if I can import subscribers into Jetpack from Mailchimp.
