I’m getting a 250 mailchimp api error when using your list id and api key. After searching I found this information about 250 error.

With this error, “missing” means that merge var(s) have been marked as
“required” (probably in the web app) and thus they must be included in
the listSubscribe call, but have not been.

The listMergeVars() method will provide you all of the available merge
vars for a list along with their options, one of which will be the
    ‘req’ field.

My plugin only supports a single merge variable and i.e FNAME to fix the issue please make the other merge variables not required.

sorry muneeb.. one last question.. one the visitor has signed up to the mailing list via the pop us, is there a way we can make sure it is not shown again?

A popup hide cookie is placed on the visitor browser after the successful subscription also when they’ll click on the close button a cookie is placed with expiration time you had set in the settings.

Muneeb. I figured out how to link images to the popup. But now I am having trouble with an error that I am getting for my popup when I hit submit.

    Please see screenshot.

Goto to popup settings page, visit wp-admin -> Settings -> WPP Popup Settings

Click on the Mailchimp section and enter there your mailchimp API key and list id.
