MailChimp/Tinyletter widget

Now that Mailchimp has acquired Tinyletter, is there any decent plug-in for a Tinyletter subscription widget? I’ve only found one out on the net so far, (Frebro synack-wptinyletter-widget), but with all respect, it sucks. The user enters their email in the form field and clicks “subscribe”, but instead of being subscribed right then and there, the user is taken to the tinyletter.com subscription page. And, the form there isn’t even pre-populated with their email address – instead, there’s a message saying “something looks wrong with that email – try again”.

In other words, you might as well just have a hyperlink to your tinyletter.com subscription page – not very useful.
