    This could be because your “to email” is invalid somehow.
    If you could provide your admin login at our support desk, we shall check and update.

    I’m also having this issue. It seems to happen only when I attempt to upload a file. I remove the file and the error ” Could not instantiate mail function” disappears. Any idea what could be causing this. I’m using WP 3.5.1 with CFM 1.3 and I have it set to only accept pdf and doc files. BTW, this is a great plugin. Thank you

    My problem was in the “File size limit (bytes) (optional)” field under File upload. It was defaulting to zero, which does not mean unlimited. I changed the size to 100kb which is 102400 bytes, and it worked like a charm.
