• Good day,

I installed Mailpoet and am using free 12k SendGrid emails a month.

I created a new user in SendGrid and set up all of the settings as MailPoet suggested. As I try to send a test email, wordpress tells me that it sent successfully, but I don’t receive emails in my inbox.

I can’t figure out why. And yes, I checked “web API”

  • Hi,

Can you please run a test with mail-tester.com by following this guide?
    https://docs.mailpoet.com/article/22-mail-tester

    Let us know the results.

    Hey,

Mailpoet says: “Test email successfully sent to [email protected]”, but the email doesn’t reach the of mail-tester. It keeps checking the inbox and after some time I receive: “We didn’t get your email.”

    Hi,

Can you see on SendGrid if you can track that email?
mail-tester.com accepts all emails, so if MailPoet says it’s sent, but mail-tester.com didn’t receive it, probably its something related to SendGrid.

Can you login at SendGrid’s website and track that email?

    Hey,

SendGrid shows me that it had 0 email requests.

    Hey again,

I type smtp.sendgrid.net for SMTP hostname and I tried entering rubbish(false data) for email and password and MailPoet still shows me that the emails are sending.

This is happening to me also.

I’ve been using Mailpoet for years, even when it was WYSIJA, but after upgrading to version 4.6 test emails or even subscription emails through the PHP Mail option don’t work. If I set it to Third parties and configure my own smtp it does.

With mail-tester I got an punctuation of 5.5, via PHP Mail, but when I try to send it to myself, I don’t receive anything. ??

    You can try it here:

    Please help!!

    Thank you,

    Francisco

Sorry, I’ve remembered that since I’ve set it up now to Third parties as the website is live, it will work. Please contact me to modify it to PHP Mail again to test it.

    Thanks,

    Francisco

    Hi,

Since I created a new account on sendgrid and changend my Mailpoet settings accordingly, I have the exact same problem as ramsjou (NOT francisco).

    So :

    * if I check “web API” -> doesn’t work. Mailpoet says tests mails are successful, but nothing appears in Snedrig’s activity log. Used to work on my previous Sendgrid account, but if I enter my prevous Sendgrid account credentials in this screen again, this doesn’t work any more.
    * if I uncheck it and use the SMTP gateway -> test emails works
    * if I use Mailpoet Version 3.0.0-beta.4, the api option works :

So, is there still a way to have Mailpoet 2 work with Sendgrid in API mode ?
