• I have had this problem in the past. Mailpoet attempts an update, fails for some reason. THen instead of rolling back to the original version it simply deactivates. Then no subscribers get any notices until I discover that it stopped working. THis is extremely annoying and simply unacceptable. And I say this because it’s happened before and I’ve noted it to support before.

    Hello there @richards1052 ,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry you keep experiencing this.

Can you confirm if this only happens with the MailPoet Plugin?

When you say the MailPoet plugin deactivates do you mean it is completely removed from your dashboard or it only deactivates and you can still see in under your WordPress Admin > Plugins > Installed Plugins?

Is there a particular error you receive when this happens?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Have a great day!

    Only mailpiet. No others.

it deactivates but remains in my plugin list. My php log does not display any error msg

Sorry I never heard a reply from you. My web host said that during a MP version upgrade there was an error & the plugin was wiped out:

“Hi Richard, seems WordPress got a memory error while updating plugin, then upgrade was interrupted and yoast seo was wiped. We have increasing the PHP RAM to 256 MB to avoid this issue.”

In the past, the plugin has thrown an error and deactivated itself. Not sure why the error happens. But it only happens with MP. Perhaps by increasing RAM for the site it will be avoided. But perhaps on MP’s end you might consider a way to protect the process if there is such an error.

Another MP update failure. I have not heard any response to my 2 previous posts here. Disappointed in the lack of response.
